Rurouni Kenshin: Sagara Sanosuke

When he was only a child, Sanosuke ran away from home to join the Sekiho Army, a group of farmers and merchants led by Sagara Sozo, who fought for the Ishin Shishi during the Meiji Revolution. When the Sekiho were betrayed by other revolutionaries, Sozo protected Sanosuke at the cost of his life, making Sanosuke bitter towards the Meiji government. He becomes friends with Kenshin, however, after he makes Sanosuke realize that not all of the Ishin Shishi were dishonorable.

Beautiful cosplay! Rurouni Kenshin is such a classic series that and I’m glad people still cosplay the characters. Thanks to Mikaela for sending this in!

Rurouni Kenshin: Yukishiro Tomoe 02

Tomoe is Kenshin’s first wife who was able to heal Kenshin’s soul and show him a purpose in life as oppose to murder. She was able to forgive him for slaying her fiancé, Kiyosato Akira and found that she had fallen in love with him.

This destroyed her original purpose of wanting revenge against Battousai and created a new desire to live a new life along side him. Unfortunately, these dreams were left unrealized because she had given her life to protect him.

I happen to like Tomoe as Kenshin’s wife more than Kaoru. I don’t know why, but I guess the mere fact that she was able to bring Kenshin back to his old self at the peak of his reign as Battousai did it for me.

I suppose I should find a decent Kaoru cosplayer now before the fan-base kills me.
